Rare Jumping Seconds Watch
A rare movement from Auguste Breting, Le Locle, Switzerland, circa 1865, is a rare jumping seconds chronograph with re-set to zero. The 53mm case features a porcelain dial with a quarter-seconds register at 3 o’clock for the jumping seconds and a 30 minutes register at 9 o’clock. The two-train movement powers independently the jumping seconds and the minute/hour timekeeping function. The single small chrono button on the band initiates both the timing and the re-set to zero. A great find for collectors!
