Enamel Brooch

Rebekah’s abstract brooch, 2″ in diameter, is enameled on copper, kiln-fired, in a subtly painted canvas in shades of blue, green, red, rose and gray, circa 1990. The pin and pin back are sterling.

The artist is known for her kiln-fired enamels from this period, with works in the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; the Renwick Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Washington DC; the Art Institute of Chicago; the Cooper Hewitt Museum, NY; the Oslo Museum of Art, Oslo, Norway; the Wustum Museum/Racine Museum of Art, Racine, WI; and the Nordenfjeldke Museum of Applied Art, Trondheim, Norway.
