‘Canyon’ Cluster Necklace

Sydney Lynch’s ‘Canyon’ cluster necklace is inspired by the desert palette in shades of autumn. It is anchored by an Australian Koroit opal, flashes of blue gleaming through the patterned cream-and brown gem. The curving tendrils of sterling silver, black dyed pearls at the end, an oval labradorite set in 22K gold, with accenting orange spessartite garnet, rough aquamarine and a smoky quartz briolette. The oxidized sterling necklace is 24″ long, with additional 3″ pendants drop.

Sydney Lynch creates these one-of-a-kind necklaces as collages of color and texture, using sterling, 18K yellow and 22K yellow gold, adding accents of gold to the darkened sterling, and setting gems asymmetrically so that they complement one another.
